Why your effort is vital today

Every year, nearly 6,000 humpback whales arrive on the coasts of the Mexican Pacific to breed and care for their calves. However, they face lethal threats such as entanglements, collisions, plastic, and acoustic pollution.

To combat this, the funds raised are allocated to our Comprehensive Strategy for the Conservation of the Humpback Whale and Marine and Terrestrial Ecosystems in the Mexican Pacific. Thanks to the effort of our athletes, we fund 8 strategic projects executed by allied expert organizations.

Diego Aragรณn

"The sea is not just a stage, it is a home that we must protect. I am preparing to cross the Tsugaru Strait in Japan, and although it will be an extreme test, knowing that every stroke drives whale conservation in Mexico gives me the strength to achieve it. From Japan to Mexico, every kilometer has a purpose."

Frequently Asked Questions: Your Challenge and the Ocean

Clear answers on how your physical effort protects the humpback whale in the Mexican Pacific.

Open water swimming is our foundational activity, but conservation requires everyone. Whether you swim in a pool, run, cycle, hike, or do triathlons, you can define your own challenge and use it as a driving force to raise funds and create awareness about marine ecosystems.

Of course! The goal is not to break world records, but to make a real impact. Your challenge can be anything from walking 5 kilometers in your city to completing a marathon. What matters is the commitment to use your passion to protect the ocean.

They can donate directly on our official website via electronic transfer to our BBVA account, OpenPay, or PayPal. We suggest prioritizing transfer or OpenPay and avoiding PayPal due to fees, to ensure your donation goes entirely toward protecting the ocean.

Your funds strengthen the impact of more than six local organizations across eight key projects. This includes rescuing entangled whales, removing ghost nets, planting corals in the Islas Marietas and Isabel National Parks, and empowering children in the Bay of Banderas.

We know you join out of conviction, but we want to recognize your extra effort. We have created an acknowledgment scheme ranging from official caps and t-shirts to dry bags and a guided whale-watching trip (Special Edition Kit) for those who reach the highest fundraising goals.

We provide you access to an Ambassador Kit on Google Drive that includes photos, logos, videos, and persuasive text templates ready to copy and paste on your social networks and WhatsApp.
