Transparency and Historical Results

We reached $1.51 million Mexican pesos. This historic fundraising allowed us to expand our operational capacity to implement 11 priority marine and terrestrial conservation actions.

Citizen mobilization strengthened cross-sectoral participation, consolidating the essential alliances for the protection of ecosystems in the Mexican Pacific, directly supporting allied expert organizations.

We raised 1.42 million Mexican pesos. Most of the resources entered through the Northwest Conservation Fund (FONNOR), channeled to 6 organizations to execute critical actions:

• Whale rescue: Through RABEN (an ECOBAC project), we funded fuel, tools, and training. We achieved the rescue of 5 entangled whales (4 humpback and 1 gray), attending a record 131 reports and registering 54 confirmed cases of live entangled whales.
• Research and monitoring: We supported ECOBAC in more than 130 surveys and 800 hours of effort at sea, documenting the population increase due to the "La Niña" phenomenon (6.15 whales per hour). In addition, we strengthened the "Less Speed = More Lives" campaign against collisions.
• Coral restoration: Together with LEMAC (University of Guadalajara), we installed 15 nurseries in the Islas Marietas National Park, planting 750 coral fragments. We funded 12 scuba diving trips for vital underwater maintenance.
• Ghost net removal: In collaboration with WWF Mexico and certified divers, we extracted 88.7 meters of ghost nets and 167 polluting fragments (including monofilament cloths and sinkers) from the seabed in the Bay of Banderas.
• Natural Area Surveillance: We provided resources for 32 surveillance tours by CONANP in Islas Marietas, evaluating regulatory compliance for tourist observation and training captains and park rangers.
• Community environmental education: Through Biólogos Marinos ORG, we empowered 172 children through workshops and field trips. We also supported Limpia tu Mar A.C., managing to collect 2 tons of waste during the First International Trash Fishing Tournament.

We raised $518,000 Mexican pesos in our foundational year. All the funds generated went directly to ECOBAC.

• Direct Tactical Action: Successful rescue of 10 entangled humpback whales, funding the tactical equipment of volunteers, cutting tools, and the maintenance of the RABEN network trailer.
• Scientific Equipment: Acquisition of a specialized hydrophone to strengthen acoustic and biological research, along with the provision of fuel for monitoring.
